Seller note:

2004 Kawasaki Limited-Class-Spec Jet Ski 1200 STX-R with galvanized aluminum ShoreLand?r trailer. Color: Jet White/Candy Lime Green (Metallic). The 1200 STX-R is the model that won the annual Personal Watercraft Illustrated Musclecraft Shootout. This high-performance Jet Ski is also the model used by Team Kawasaki until 2005, when the team switched to the STX-15F (4-stroke)?which requires the use of racing fuel when modified with the supercharged system.
This Jet Ski features nearly the identical setup used by Team Kawasaki on the race craft used by Chris McCluggage in the World Championship races (excluding the use of high-compression pistons, which?like the STX 15F?requires the use of non-readily-available high-octane racing fuel.) Thus, it is the fastest you can make this machine run on 91-octane pump gas! It is only slightly slower in acceleration than its high-compression counterpart?yet the top speed is 2-4 miles per hour faster, at 72-74 miles per hour. At this speed, this Jet Ski 1200 STX-R has a higher top speed than any new stock personal watercraft on the market.
Below is a sample acceleration chart, taken from the June, 2002 issue of Personal Watercraft Illustrated showing the difference in acceleration and top speed between a completely stock Kawasaki Jet Ski 1200 STX-R, and a Limited-Class-Spec Kawasaki Jet Ski 1200 STX-R:
Stock
0-20 MPH----1.34 SECONDS
20-35 MPH----1.11 SECONDS
35-62.49 MPH----10.48 SECONDS
0-62.49 MPH----12.93 SECONDS
PEAK SPEED----62.49 MPH
Limited-Spec
0-20 MPH-----1.06 SECONDS
20-35 MPH----0.60 SECONDS
35-71.73 MPH----11.52 SECONDS
0-71.73 MPH----13.18 SECONDS
PEAK SPEED----71.73 MPH
Keep in mind that the acceleration times of this personal watercraft will fall just a hair short of the Team Kawasaki-built Limited-Class-Spec Jet Ski 1200 STX-R tested in this issue?as I chose not to employ high-compression pistons which require the use of non-readily available, very expensive, high-octane (105+) racing fuel.
